We began by segmenting first-year students based on their diverse needs and challenges, identifying the "Purpose-Driven Learner" as a key audience who would benefit most from experience enhancements. Building on Fordham’s strengths, we developed a strategic framework that aligned the university’s assets with these students’ priorities, shaping a distinctive and ownable first-year experience model. Finally, we designed four pilot programs aimed at deepening student engagement in ways that reflect Fordham’s unique strengths, philosophy, and Jesuit tradition.
