Prior to founding Proto, Colby lead global operations for R/GA’s Business Transformation team. In this role - Colby focused on scaling the practice and bringing in world-class talent to deliver innovative solutions to big challenges. While scaling this team, Colby oversaw and ran production, talent acquisition, talent management, finance, corporate communications and new business teams as the key enablement functions that drove the business.
Prior to his role at R/GA, Colby leveraged his passion for innovation by leading MakerBot's global marketing team, helping to evangelize 3D printing to educators, professionals and consumers. He led all brand initiatives, launched multiple hardware and software products, and built performance and channel marketing teams. Colby originally joined R/GA in 2011 and worked on a variety of financial services, technology and consumer accounts such as Goldman Sachs, Intel, Samsung, Nike and MakerBot.
Colby is a graduate of Hamilton College with a B.A. in Economics. In his spare time, Colby is a board member for a non-profit called DEEP (Deepwater Experiential Education Project), which provides funding for young people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds to participate in wilderness education programs.
Colby lives with his wife and two daughters in Manhattan and loves all NY sports, especially the Rangers.
