Artificial Intelligence is transforming creativity. It’s exciting, yet scary - like that new co-worker with fancy skills. Except this time, the new member isn’t human at all.
While AI can bring wild visions to life with the right prompts, it also makes baffling decisions, serving up disasters as eagerly as delicacies. This AI Cookbook explores what happens when we use AI in design to visualize highly specific dish and setting ideas submitted by Protobots as part of our internal Design Minds initiative.
We gave AI a seat at the table, but not the head seat. Because while AI can cook up dreamy creations, its ability to truly innovate cuisine is currently limited. It’s a smart utensil, not a chef. Cuisine is one of humanity’s most artful and social pursuits. There is no separating the food from the environment, the taste from the presentation. Today, it’s a nuance AI struggles with mightily and entertainingly, leaving grotesque crab creatures and puzzling pineapple bottles in its wake.
This book documents our experiments leading artificial intelligence through an inherently human domain, and serves as a testament to a creative team always hungry for more.
Help a leader in healthcare information systems expand and scale to support the shift to self-service products.
CareEvolution's solutions enable healthcare organizations to give patients access to their information simply, securely, and efficiently across different systems, devices and providers. After 20 years of steady and strategic growth, the time had come to expand their story—so their technology could support the changing healthcare landscape in ways that no one else can.
As the company shifted from custom solutions to self-service products, they needed a brand that would help their users understand how their products work together and the wide array of use cases they serve. But CareEvolution’s radically flat org structure—a feature of their success in innovation—required a design system that anyone could work with, whether they’re a software architect, data scientist, or a PhD in molecular biology.
